Reading (10 min) - La sécurité en été (Summer Safety) / Les sons et les mots (Sounds and Sight Words)
This week we will be introducing Summer Safety as part of our theme. All structures can be found here. We will continue focus on reviewing the sounds using the flip book and reading and/or writing sight words. We will also be learning and reviewing the sound during our Team Meeting. All sounds can be found here and all sight words are here. We have also added a few videos to help encourage students with their practice.

Writing (10 min) - Suggestions for a writing activity: A few options this week!
Now that students have their 'Cahier de structures' at home, they can continue with the written structures. Students can write the question: Que fais-tu en été pour rester en sécurité? They can then choose one of the answers from the list provided above: Pendant l'été, ____________________________. Students can also choose to use the template provided below with an example as an alternate option for writing.
During the week, students are also encouraged to write a sentence using some of the sight words.

Hopefully your child has received his letter with instructions about the Flat Teacher Adventure. If they have not yet received their letter, I am sure it will arrive shortly. We want students to be creative and bring me along on adventures big and small. Take a picture with me and send it so I can post it on our website. Write a few words to let me know all about it and if you can write anything en français that would also be awesome. I am adding a few sentences that might help you. I have also added an audio version. Have fun and I look forward to the adventures that await!
