Reading (10 min) -
This week we will be introducing Natural Elements as part of our theme.  All structures can be found here.  We will continue focus on reviewing the sounds using the flip book (you can add
'ien' on the right side) and reading and/or writing sight words.  We only have 2 more sounds to add to the flip book and we will be presenting a new sound each week.  We will also be learning and reviewing the sound during our Team Meeting.  All sounds can be found here and all sight words are here.   We have also added a few videos to help encourage students with their practice.

Writing (10 min) - Suggestion for a writing activity:
Now that students have their 'Cahier de structures' at home, they can continue with the written structures.  Students can write the question:  Quel élément naturel vois-tu à Quispamsis ou à Rothesay?  They can then choose one of the answers from the list provided above: Je vois  ____________________ à Quispamsis.  Je vois  __________________ à Rothesay.  Students can also choose to use the template provided below with an example as an alternate option for writing.
Go on a little hike and see if you can spot some natural elements in nature.  Make yourself a check list and check off the things you see as you hike.  Make a little book with a page for each sentence.  Illustrate each page with a picture.  Read the book to your family.  Send me a picture of your favorite page!
During the week, students are also encouraged to write a sentence using some of the sight words.
Suggested template for the activity is found below.
